A day in the life of an Arborist in Bowral

We've been busy!

We’re here on this site today in Bowral.

We’re doing a couple of different Arborist jobs here. We’re removing a lot of epicormic growth from the base of the tree. We’re removing basal growth. We’re taking down trees that have got decay in. We had a problem tree on site. Where the tree had a defect through the
middle of the tree where it was decayed and split open. This tree was a challenge for us because we couldn’t climb it, we couldn’t get a crane on site, so we had to use ropes and different methods of pulling it into the right direction to get it between trees to land. The tree had split down the centre at about 15 metres, causing a bit of concern to the the tennis court area.

We managed to get a rope on it and and fell it in the right direction, nicely away from the tennis court and causing minimal damage to the surrounding property. The failure would have occurred in the previous week’s high winds. If we hadn’t have taken it down today, we think that probably in the next high winds it would have definitely gone over, causing pretty horrific damage to a tennis court that has already been replaced a couple of times.
